District Revival: Night One

Tonight was the first night of the District Five revival. I think we actually have about seven different churches coming together and ministering throughout the weekend.

The night started when the clock struck 7:00. and when P.Martin welcomed everyone. Orange Grove church was supposed to lead worship, however, they experienced a little traffic, and so Summerville Family Worship played a couple songs until they arrived. After they did, we left the stage, followed by their Praise Team, and they ministered with four songs. A pretty nice set, and rather interesting because they used CD's instead of a band. But the worship was still great.

After the worship set, our former District Overseer, Kenneth Baker gave a word that was just awesome. It was unexpectedly hilarious, and it was totally worth hearing. He talked about Time and how we don't control it. He also informed us that as a boy his family used to collect Green Stamps, and how one time he wanted to turn in about 85 books of Green Stamps and get a bike. Well, he never got the bike, but all the stamps his family saved, they gave to the orphanage. So in his words: "I could just see some orphan riding my bike". I almost lost it. Funny stuff.
