Keep Your Wits About You

My father is a very hard working man. So naturally, when he gives me advice, I tend to want to listen to what he says. This morning he gave me a simple phrase as an encouragement: "Keep your wits about you". I've compiled the conversation into three key points:

1.) It's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of leadership or even just everyday life, and forget to think for a split second, and do something dumb that you will probobly regret.

2.) When you do anything, you should not only weigh the consequences, but also think about how the situation will or could play out.

3.) You shouldn't put yourself in a risky situation, because you never know what could cause you to get hurt, or how you could accidentally hurt someone else.
