A sign was recently placed upon the wall by the main doors of SFWC a few weeks ago. The sign simply said: "do not be conformed...be transformed", and it gave the scripture reference that it came from. Well, it got me thinking, so I looked up the verse and it was accurate to what the wall said, and then I passed by Blake in the hallway. Now, Blake is like this hardcore, sick nasty Bible scholar guy, and he asked me how do you renew your mind? After a few moments, he told me to look up Philippians 4:8.
So I did, and after reading it it made since why he told me to go there:
"Finally brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praise-worthy- meditate on these things".
Then it clicked: If you want to renew your mind, then you must think, or meditate on these things.
