Talk about mad.
We spent about ten minutes arguing about whether or no I could skip this dinner party or not, and sadly, I lost. Shortly afterwards, however, I remembered something that I had read about in 2 Timothy 3. Basically, it was talking about the descriptions of a good leader in the church, and how they put their families before their ministry.
Talk about the ultimate duh.
So promptly at 6:17 my parents picked me up and we headed off to the grandmothers. Let me tell you, I had a blast. I had spice cake for like the first time, and it rocked my world! After dinner, we sat together and flipped the channels on the telly until we found a Charlie Chaplain movie. I actually believe i've never heard my family laugh together like that ever. It was awesome. I still can't believe that a comedian in the 1930's brought my family together like that.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteyou learned a valuable lesson early in life that many in ministry still hadn't figured out. Keep on serving.
grace and peace,
