Quiet Time With A Friend

Last night at Driven, Justin taught and it was awesome. God really used him in an incredible way to minister to us, and to bring to our attention why we as a youth group are not growing. To say that is was anything less than an awakening would be a gross understatement, considering it seemed like many people were in shock. I think it was awesome. I totally agreed with almost everything that he said so much so, that the Holy Spirit actually convicted me.

He talked about how we only raise our hands to worship, or try to sing louder than the person beside us, instead of giving our lives to God, and letting him take care of all of it. We had an acoustic worship set, meaning it was just Brittany on vocals, Hector on the congos, and myself on vocals and acoustic guitar. We also took communion, and I believe that not one person left that building without thinking of what they could do to help spread the word of God, any way they could.

Usually I don't blog about things that occur at school, and thats usually because they don't result in any life changing opinions, or topics of discussions. Except today. In Chapel today, P.Jason was talking about three things we can do to have a productive quiet time with God.

These included:

      Choose a time

      Choose a place

      Choose an accountability parter
