I've been listening to Lee McDerment's CD ever since I got home today, and I was even singing it at school.
The words are really what sucked me in, I mean, I like the guitars and drums, but at the end of the day, what you can play isn't what people are going to notice. It's what you say. So why would you sing about something that has virtually no value at all, when you can sing about the most priceless thing this world has ever seen.
Listening to the songs at Unleashed, has really got thinking about the songs that I write. One thing that I'm trying to do with my latest songs, is putting things that God has done for me, and also to try to make them a little more "anthemy" if thats a word.
